Comments:  This might have been my most anticipated book of 2024.  I was thrilled that it did not disappoint.  After the last book's explosive ending, this book inevitably had to be a slower pace, and that's managed in a very good way.  It's a "back to the farm" and "kick back" kind of book.  A lot of the mysteries we've been reading about for 3 books are fully fleshed out and revealed, which is pretty fascinating.

Looking forward to book 5!

Comments: Ok, despite the POV shifts I rank Beware of Chicken as one of my favorite book series in the last few years.  I really like the characters and the overall "humble ass kicking power" motif.  This one is very good, I think I've read and listened to it 2 or 3 times since it was released in mid November.

Comments:  Beware of Chicken was one of the biggest surprises I've had with books in recent memory.  It struck a fine balance between humor, and drama without making it campy or taking itself too seriously.  Beware of Chicken 2 is better than 1.  It expands the story tremendously and yet keeps you fully invested in the story and characters.  A Hall of Fame contender.
