Comments: I really enjoyed Outcast in Another World, so I was pretty optimistic when I saw the Tater-man had a new series. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it even half as much as the other series.  I can't honestly think of anything in the story I actually liked, everything was either neutral or negative.

It was a struggle to finish, and I'm sorry I did it.  I won't be reading book 2.

Comments: Generally, I have made a decision that I'm not going to bother reviewing books that are deep into a series unless they really suck (Looking at you Infinite World book 4).

This however is the last book of the series.

A good book or a good series can be utterly ruined if the author can't bring it to a satisfying conclusion so wrapping up a series is really a high risk endeavor for an author.  The master of the satisfying conclusions is of course Professor Tolkien, but any comparison to the Professor is inherently unfair.

All in all Mr Potato brought it all together in a satisfying manner.  The protagonists have to pull out some surprises, there are some unforeseen twists and turns, and at the end, an actual conclusion.

If you haven't read the series, I don't regret the hours I spent reading it, so take that for what it's worth.  If you have, I think you'll enjoy the epic conclusion.

Comments:  At its core, this story is about a man wanting to go home, and to do that he has to survive.  And the crap he survives is amazing.  The path we've been seeing for the last 4 books took a very definite turn to left, so book 6 is going to be interesting.

Comments:  Not really much to say, if you have made it this far in the series, there's no reason to stop.  Rob has some antics that you just won't believe.  Lots of fun, and some trauma, plus a bonus short story at the end.

Comments: I had kind of let this series slip to the back of my mind, until someone mentioned on Discord that it was getting another book.

This was as good as the previous ones, with good character growth, and some big reveals on the world.  I will definitely read the next one.

Comments: This is one of those rare LitRPG series that doesn't focus on the crunchy bits and focuses on the people side of the story and that is what makes it work.  When the protagonist gets dragged off to another world, he doesn't just shrug it off and start kicking ass, he's emotionally traumatized. It made everything that came after that work better and be easier to believe.  I read these back to back and I am looking forward to book 3, assuming there is a book 3.
