Author: Michael Simon

Rating: 3.6/5

Comments: This is a pretty decent book, but I have some quibbles with it.  Most aren't major, but one, consistently bothered me.  Unfortunately it's a foundational plot point for the whole story, which is why it scored lower than it might have otherwise.  Without getting into spoiler territory, the circumstances whereby the protagonist and his band of misfits get isolated from their command structure were, let's just say implausible to me.  I haven't decided if I'm continuing to book 2.
